We strive to look after our people and recognise those that are outstanding contributors to Redvespa and the way we do things. We know we focus a lot on our emerging talent and new people, and sometimes that excitement, focus, drive and noise can be at the expense of some of our more long-standing people.
So this year we announced a new recognition award for an Unsung Hero at Redvespa. Not losing sight of our roots, we purchased a ticket to the BBC Conference in Las Vegas in November 2016 along with an all expenses paid trip for one of our loyal ‘unsung’ people. It is our intention to make this an annual thing, adding to the incomparable culture that is Redvespa.
This recognition award is for our permanent employees, and recognises loyalty, commitment and having consistently gone above and beyond without fanfare over the years. Now, with these type of awards and being an analytical bunch, we could spend days debating the award criteria e.g the word fanfare, defining going above and beyond etc. But this really takes away the spirit, intent and fun of this recognition. We simply wanted to give one of our people an experience they will remember without getting all scientific and strangling it in HR red tape.
We are excited to tell the world that our first Unsung Hero award went to a very deserving Ieuan Wickham – who is one of our longest serving team members in Auckland. Ieuan consistently embodies Redvespa’s tagline ‘Hell Bent on Delivery’ for our clients, as well as contributing to Redvespa in many ways.
We’re all ecstatic for Ieuan, and we can’t wait for Ieuan to represent Redvespa at BBC and catch-up with all the extended Redvespa family!
