Creative Innovation – Robotics, Artificial Intelligence and Automation for our Unsung Hero
Last year we announced a new Redvespa award, the Unsung Hero. Our Unsung Hero award is for our permanent employees, and recognises loyalty, commitment and having consistently gone above and beyond often without fanfare over more than four years with Redvespa. Last year, our award recipient was Ieuan Wickham, who jetted away to Las Vegas and attended BBC. You can read about Ieuan in last years announcement.
This year, as always, we decided to step it up. This years recipient got to choose out of 5 different options submitted by the Leadership Team in their respective areas of passion – Digital, Wellbeing, Design, Innovation and Leadership.
Redvespa hitting the ground running in Christchurch
We’re excited to be connecting with so many great people in Christchurch. Nick Burns, our South Island Business Development Manager, and Tom Shanley, our first permanent BA/Data Visualisation expert in Christchurch are loving showcasing the Redvespa brand down South!
If you know any organisations that need great business analysis rigour or know any awesome BAs wanting their next opportunity, please get in touch with Nick Burns.
What kids are learning today
Data, information and knowledge is in no shortage in 2017 – and we can access it via a multitude of channels. While this holds great value and should be leveraged, some of the most crucial skills for the future of our profession, and others, are the intangibles or what is often called ‘soft-skills’. Recently we have been working with, and learning from – Jack O’Neil – a Gen Z young man, who is learning some fascinating things at school!
We thought we’d better get ahead of the game, check out the small snippet from the afternoon with our star – Jack O’Neil!
Our annual gathering of the entire Redvespa team is a ritual we all love. Led by the Gibsons we know it’s important to celebrate what we’re doing, and for our Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch consultants to get together, share their knowledge and have some fun! This can be via a Redvespa Getaway or the much vaunted Redvespa Christmas party…it all started with Richard dancing on tables after all.
Your Kingdom Update
We’re thrilled with the difference we are making to young people’s lives with Your Kingdom. By the end of August we have ‘shared’ over 150 copies with Hope Walk, with more heading their way soon.
We are excited to announce that a Government department has recently purchased 1,000 copies. This gives us the opportunity to share 1000 copies with many schools and charities – we’re delighted! We’d love to spread the Your Kingdom movement through your organisation and help you make a difference for your people’s wellbeing. Please contact Jamie Gibson if you’re interested to hear more.
We are also delivering Your Kingdom associated workshops. Thank you to ANZ Graduate programme, Wellington College and Otaki College for giving us the opportunity to speak and run workshops with your people! We would love to do more of these, so please do get in touch with Jamie Gibson if you’re interested.
