For being a much valued part of the Redvespa community in 2015! We’ve loved sharing our passion for Business Analysis and designing better business with you.
In 2015 we’ve encouraged our people to deliberately pay attention to things they would normally not even notice, and become aware of their present moment experience – and to do so non-judgmentally and with kindness and compassion.
We are celebrating the year that has been and have Sprung in to Summer through Redvespa’s health and well being programme. How about trying ‘Getting Back Into Nature’ over the summer season, there are a ton of options and we live in a fantastic country with loads of potential, in order to help alleviate your over-indulgence over Christmas.
We hope you enjoy our final buzz of 2015, and we wish you a happy and safe festive season and look forward to sharing more with you, our Redvespa community, in 2016.
Nomad8 Book Launch
In September this year, we were proud to announce our partnership with Nomad8 – Enterprise Agile specialists. As part of this we had a special insight into what was coming and now we can release it! Sandy Mamoli & David Mole, both owners and Agile Coaches at Nomad8, have published their first book – Creating Great Teams: How Self-Selection Lets People Excel. Check out a snippet of their press release below.
People are happiest and most productive if they can choose what they work on and who they work with, say NZ Agile coaches Sandy Mamoli & David Mole.
This new book, Creating Great Teams: How Self-Selection Lets People Excel, shows how to build well-designed and efficient teams to get the most out of your organisation, by giving people that choice, with step-by-step instructions on how to set up teams quickly and efficiently.
“If you’re feeling the pain and chaos of adding new people to your organisation, or just want to ensure that your teams have the right people with the right skills, Self-Selection will help you create the effective teams you need. This book will help you make your changes successful.”
The book is available from Amazon and Pragmatic Programmers.
Big Brothers Big Sisters
Youth health and wellbeing is Redvespa’s chosen social responsibility. Big BRothers Big Sisters (BBBS) is an organisation providing mentoring for NZs youth. With over 100 years of history and operations in 14 countries Big Brothers Big Sisters has become known for delivering best practice in youth mentoring. The Big Brothers Big Sisters model of mentoring has been affirmed by rigorous, ongoing external evaluation. This independent research has shown the positive relationships between youth and their Big Brothers and Big Sisters have a direct measurable impact on their lives.
In addition to the direct outcomes for little brothers and little sisters are the wider benefits to whanau, the communities and Government in general.
We’ve also been helping Dave Marshall, CEO BBBS, develop a business case to present to a government department for funding. Dave reached out a month ago, and it was an amazing experience for our team, and we are eagerly awaiting a positive response.
Along with this donation of time and effort, Redvespa will be donating to Big Brothers Big Sisters this year, as our Christmas giving from the Redvespa community.
BA Development Day 2015
Redvespa made quite a splash at BA Dev Day!
Judging by the twitter traffic the closing keynote – Georgiana Mannion – was a huge hit! George was sponsored by Redvespa and also spoke in Christchurch and Auckland at BA Dev Day symposiums the following days.
One of our consultants, Kim Quirke, and her ‘my name is Kim and this is my picture’ booklets were very well received. As were her drawings of the keynote speaker’s presentations.
It was another fantastic day for the BA community in New Zealand!
Redvespa is a leading provider of BA Training and Development for individuals and teams. We offer public training courses as well as configured courses specific to an organisation’s needs. Our courses are based on those developed by leading North American company B2T Training, as well as our own awesome Redvespa-developed courses.
Through our Capability Services, we can configure training to meet your needs, and offer mentoring and capability assessments.
Check out our courses offered in 2016 in Auckland and Wellington. And contact Gilles Rabaud for more information!
Assessment by Design
We’ve also been busy developing Assessment by Design, our client-specific BA Capability Assessment. Assessment by Design is tailored to meet the specific needs of your BA team.
AbD starts off by defining, with the client, a set of hypotheses. These hypotheses shape the subsequent investigation, conclusions and recommendations about the BA’s capabilities. It’s all about the co-designing process.
If you’re interested to find out more, please don’t hesitate to contact Gilles.
