Our Ways of Working
We pride ourselves at Redvespa of having a culture, values and ‘vibe’ that supports collaboration, creativity, innovation, pragmatism, adaptability and fun! As we’d grown the enthusiasm and energy that stemmed from a ‘start-up’ feel had been hard to maintain. Just as our Consultants had grown, so too had our management team. Redvespa needed to better use its ‘feel’ to unleash the potential in its people and attract more 'A-players' to our company, in NZ and globally.
With that in mind, we sought out Dave Mole from Nomad8 for real world, hand-on insights and expertise - as we'd heard about this funky concept implemented by Spotify, that he'd successfully implemented at Trademe - Squads, Tribes, Chapters and Guilds, claiming it created an even better working environment, vibe and culture. Excited by this - we wanted to be staunch and walk our talk. We knew we had the creative mojo to develop an environment that let our consultants do what they do best, be Hell Bent on Delivery for our clients.
So with a lot of design thinking and analysis, and some tweaking to make it fit for purpose for a Consulting organisation, with a geographically dispersed team - we came up with our own Redvespa version of Squads and Guilds.
- Squads - being geared to enhance delivery for our clients, and knowledge sharing
- Guilds - being geared towards Communities of interest valid to the role of being a Consultant @ Redvespa
Our consultants still have access to HR, Capability and Account Management guidance, however they now have additional support from a group of peers, creating a one to many model - giving them a wealth of support options out in the field so they are empowered to make change happen, to unleash potential and enrich people, business, and communities.
