Since 1993, the New Zealand Hi-Tech Awards has sought to advance the growth and success of New Zealand’s hi-tech industries, including ICT, electronics, software, bio-technology, creative, telecommunications and digital media. This year’s award winners, announced Friday 6 May at a gala dinner in Wellington, predominantly offer online software solutions and export electronic and digital products, so it is an achievement that the winner of the Recruit IT Hi-Tech Employer of Choice Award (Redvespa Consultants Limited) are the only IT consultancy to feature in the 2011 winner line up. The majority of winners are Auckland-based, Redvespa and YikeBike being the only companies to hail from further south.
Redvespa took top honours in the Employer of Choice category from 3 other finalists including telecommunications giant, Vodafone New Zealand. This year’s Awards were judged by a panel of 48 local judges and 11 international judges including Dell founder Michael Dell, Howard Charney, Senior Vice President, Cisco and Gary Hamel, Fellow, World Economic Forum and the Strategic Management Society.
“Redvespa delivers a very clear value proposition for its customers, which aligns with the value proposition for its employees. Communication is two-way, and employees have an influence on the direction of the company. Redvespa demonstrates a clear willingness to invest in their people and innovation, which is why they are able to attract and retain the best.”
A leading information technology company consulting across all sectors, Redvespa specialises in Business Analysis, complemented by Project Management services. Since 2003, Redvespa has built an enviable reputation in providing highly experienced people to deliver quality consultancy services. To support its consultancy arm, Redvespa has developed a cloud-based product, The BA Kit, designed specifically for Business Analysis teams. The BA Kit now enables Redvespa to offer an end to end Business Analysis solution to their clients.
Redvespa recruits creative, professional and practical people. People who love what they do and thrive on being surrounded by like-minded individuals. The result is that Redvespa has a great team culture: dynamic people who are not only skilled, but also lots of fun to be around.
Richard Gibson, Managing Director of Redvespa commented “we are delighted to be recognised for the inspiring company culture of our organisation, and feel this achievement acknowledges the efforts of our entire team. It is our people after all, that define our workplace, are the essence of our brand and attract new staff of such a high calibre. Redvespa’s contribution to the national and international Business Analysis profession also offer our team opportunities and exposure they are unlikely to find elsewhere. Our challenge is to retain our boutique consultancy culture, as we continue to develop our business in Wellington and Auckland.”
